Terms, Conditions & Privacy Policy
These Terms and Conditions apply to all treatments and services provided by Aulai. By booking and attending an appointment, you agree to the following:
1. Appointments, Cancellations and Non-Attendance
Clients are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or in the event of a failure to attend an appointment, Aulai reserves the right to:
Charge up to 100% of the treatment cost; or
Deduct the session from any pre-paid course or package.
Appointments may be rescheduled without charge where sufficient notice is provided.
2. Client Health and Suitability for Treatment
Clients must provide accurate and complete information regarding their medical history, medications, and any existing health conditions prior to treatment.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform Aulai of any changes to their health or circumstances which may affect treatment suitability.
Aulai reserves the right to refuse, decline, or discontinue treatment where it is considered that the treatment may be unsafe or not in the client’s best interests.
3. Laser Hair Removal
A patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to the first treatment.
Clients must shave the treatment area 24 hours before the appointment.
Between sessions, only shaving is permitted. Waxing, plucking, threading or use of epilators is not allowed.
Clients must avoid:
Sun exposure and sunbeds for at least 2 weeks before and after treatment
The use of fake tan prior to treatment
Cooling methods, including ice packs, may be used during treatment. Whilst uncommon, there is a small risk of cold-related skin irritation or burns.
Results vary between individuals and permanent hair removal cannot be guaranteed. No refunds will be provided where results are not as expected.
Laser hair removal is contraindicated during pregnancy and will not be carried out.
4. Fat Freezing (Cryolipolysis)
Clients must adhere to all aftercare advice provided.
Individual results vary and fat reduction cannot be guaranteed. Multiple sessions may be required.
No refunds will be issued based on treatment outcome.
Possible side effects include:
Temporary swelling
Redness
Tingling or numbness
Mild discomfort or sensitivity
In rare cases, more serious adverse effects such as frostbite may occur, although all reasonable precautions are taken to minimise risk.
5. Cryotherapy (Skin Lesion Removal)
Cryotherapy is generally considered a low-risk treatment; however, potential side effects may include:
Temporary headaches, particularly when treating areas of the head
Changes in skin pigmentation
Rare instances of nerve sensitivity or damage
Formation of blisters at the treatment site
Minor dispersal of frozen particles due to pressurised application
Possible permanent hair loss in treated areas
6. Wood Therapy Massage
Wood Therapy Massage is a non-invasive body treatment intended to support circulation, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and aid lymphatic stimulation.
Results vary and are not guaranteed. A course of treatments may be recommended.
Clients may experience temporary:
Redness
Bruising
Tenderness
This treatment is not suitable for individuals with certain conditions, including (but not limited to):
Pregnancy
Severe varicose veins
Skin infections or inflammation
Certain cardiovascular or lymphatic conditions
Aulai reserves the right to decline treatment where contraindications are identified.
7. Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a gentle treatment designed to encourage lymph flow and reduce fluid retention.
This treatment is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
Results vary and are not guaranteed.
Possible effects following treatment may include:
Increased urination
Mild fatigue
Temporary light-headedness
This treatment may not be suitable for clients with:
Active infections
Congestive heart conditions
Kidney disease
Untreated or unstable medical conditions
Medical approval may be required where appropriate.
8. Equipment and Safety
The treatment couch has a maximum safe working load of 150kg.
Clients must inform the practitioner in advance if this may be exceeded. Aulai reserves the right to refuse treatment where safe operation of equipment cannot be assured.
9. Liability
Whilst Aulai will take all reasonable care and skill in delivering treatments in accordance with current industry standards, all treatments carry an element of risk.
By proceeding with treatment, clients acknowledge that outcomes may vary between individuals and no guarantee of specific results has been made.
Aulai shall not be held liable for failure to achieve desired results or for adverse reactions where treatment has been carried out appropriately and aftercare advice has been followed.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
10. Privacy and Data Protection (UK GDPR Compliance)
Aulai is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
